City of Council Bluffs issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.
Design details for Segment 4, which will occur on West Broadway, from 25th Street to 19th Street, will be provided at a public information meeting hosted by the City of Council Bluffs for businesses, property owners, and interested citizens. Construction of Segment 4 is scheduled for spring 2020.
“The businesses along this segment of West Broadway generate a lot of traffic,” said Mayor Matt Walsh. “The public meeting provides an opportunity to learn about construction, how traffic might be affected, and talk with the project team before construction begins.”
A public information meeting will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Area of Thomas Jefferson High School, located at 2501 West Broadway in Council Bluffs. The public meeting will address design details specific to Segment 4. Maps depicting Segment 4 design will be available for review, as well as the anticipated construction schedule and proposed detours. Project representatives will be present to discuss improvements, construction staging, and access.
The West Broadway Reconstruction Project will preserve and enhance the economic vitality of Council Bluffs by transforming West Broadway into a more viable and aesthetically pleasing transportation corridor for businesses, residents and the traveling public.
