Montgomery County Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Mar. 27.
Montgomery County Memorial Hospital has received its first confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnosis.
The individual is self-isolating at home. The individual is between 41-60 years of age and has recently traveled outside of the United States.
Additional screening processes are now in place. The Emergency Entrance will be open at all times. The Main Hospital Entrance will be open M-F 6:30am – 5:00pm and Saturday 7:00am – 12:30pm. All other doors will remain locked. All employees, patients and visitors will be screened at the door, including having their temperature taken. Patients are allowed to bring only one support person to their appointment or procedure. Inpatient visitors should only come to the hospital if they feel that it is necessary. No visitors under the age of 18 years old are allowed to visit at this time.
The services of all specialty outpatient clinics are suspended until further notice, with the exception of cardiology, orthopedics and wound care. If you have questions about the Specialty Outpatient Clinic, please call 712-623-7270. If you have questions about primary care, please contact your provider’s office.
