34.1% unemployed in Mills County in 2018

34.1 percent of Mills County residents between 16 and 65 years old were unemployed in 2018, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The percentage of unemployed residents was greater than the statewide total of 32.5 percent for this demographic group. In 2018 the total Mills County population reached 11,826.

Out of 7,790 people who had a job, 23 were employed in the Armed Forces and 7,767 belonged to the civilian labor force.

The total unemployment numbers include residents of all ages who are not working.
