Non-residents paid 2.7 percent more than residents this year, or $6,112. Their price tag grew 4.9 percent from $5,824 in 2017-18.
About 84 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Iowa residents. And about 16 percent are residents of other states.
Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 833 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.5 million and 668 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.7 million.
Including all undergraduates (5,962), 2,791 students used grants or scholarships totaling $14.9 million, and 2,966 students took out $19.2 million in federal student loans.
