City of Council Bluffs issued the following announcement on Sept. 8.
The City of Council Bluffs has launched a new electronic bidding portal called Ion Wave. Ion Wave streamlines the City’s bidding and proposal process, allows for enhanced communication, aids in the reduction of supplier response errors, and boosts overall productivity. With the City’s new portal, bidders are no longer burdened with printing, packaging, and shipping documents. Upon implementation of Ion Wave, hard copy submissions will no longer be accepted by the City.
All suppliers and contractors interested in submitting bids and proposals to the City of Council Bluffs must register online. Previous mailing lists will not be transferred into Ion Wave. Once registered, suppliers and contractors are automatically notified about relevant bid opportunities and will be able to view and submit bids online.
Registration is free and can be completed at cbiabids.ionwave.net/. Once registered, there are “help” documents that will assist in creating an account.
The City will post bid opportunities on Ion Wave starting October 12, 2020. Prompt registration is encouraged.
Any questions should be directed to Kim Riebe, City of Council Bluffs Purchasing Officer, kriebe@councilbluffs-ia.gov.
