Shenandoah Chamber and Industry Association issued the following announcement on Dec.16.
Shenandoah homeowners and businesses expressed Christmas Joy in the Shenandoah Chamber & Industry Association Christmas Home Lighting and Business Window Decorating contests. Entries were nominated and voted on with likes on Shop Shenandoah Facebook page and also judged by drive by view.
“Shenandoah has never looked brighter and more like Christmas than this year,” said Shelly Warner, SCIA Marketing Director. “Everyone throughout town did a beautiful job lighting their homes and businesses. I encourage everyone to take a drive or walk around town.”
SCIA Announces Winners of Christmas Lighting & Decorating Contest!
Winner of the Business Decorated Window Contest was Design Originals. They will receive $150 in chamber gift certificates to be donated to People for Paws, their Shenandoah charity of choice. In a close second was Secondhand Rose. They will donate their $75 award to Healthy Tails Retreat assistance program.
First place winner in the Home Lighting contest was Matt and Kelsey Potratz at 708 West St. They receive $150 in Chamber gift certificates. Second place went to Dustin and Chelsea Taylor 601 9th Avenue, will be awarded $100 Chamber gift certificates. Third place was a tie. After a tie breaker posting on facebook. Trevor and Breanna Christiansen, 1408 S. Moreland Place was 3rd and will be awarded $75. Because of the tie SCIA opted to create a 4th place at $50 won by Denise Racine at 110 W. Pioneer Avenue. Sheridan Avenue to pickup their gift certificates.
