Most Christians are trained to approach the Scriptures from a “Flat Bible” perspective. But, what if there’s another way to look at the Bible? What if the New Testament authors – and the earliest Christians – taught us to look at the Bible through the lens of Christ? Author and Bible teacher, Keith Giles, will show us how and why a Christ-centric perspective on Scripture is not only what Jesus, the apostles and the early Church encourage us to take — it’s also how many of our most difficult and confusing issues with the Scriptures become resolved. Small rural congregations face challenges in the 21st century, and often forget they are uniquely connected to the Gospel through the land and fields that surround them. This study uses the power of agricultural narratives in Scripture as well as local church stories to help small rural churches recover the connection to the land where God has placed them to cultivate hope and growth. Rebecca Collison’s book Preparing Fields for Seasons of Change gives a guide to churches wanting to reclaim their corner of God’s farm (1 Cor. 3:9).
