Montgomery County Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 1.

Montgomery County Memorial Hospital congratulates Annette Johnson, RN, BSN, on her upcoming retirement! Annette, an Emergency Department nurse, retired on December 31, 2020 after 47 years of nursing excellence!

One of Annette’s favorite memories of MCMH is when they moved to the new facility in 1989.  “I was the evening supervisor that day.  We were able to move all of the patients in just a few hours.  We had an emergency surgery, a baby delivered and a cardiac emergency all on that first evening.  With teamwork we were able to make it through a challenging shift,” remembers Annette.

Annette and her husband, Kirk, have been married for 43 years.  They have three children and 5 grandchildren.  After retiring, Annette plans to be available for all of their activities and to be able to spend more time with them.

Diane McGrew, Chief Nurse Executive, stated, “We at MCMH, and especially the patients we serve, have benefited from Annette’s dedication, expertise and compassion during the past 47 years.  We wish her the very best in her well-deserved retirement.”
