Census Bureau: More women than men in Shenandoah in 2019

Of the 4,897 people living in Shenandoah in 2019, 51.9 percent (2,543) were women and 48.1 percent (2,354) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SW Iowa Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,419-to-1,399. In the 65 and over age range, there were 638 females and 392 males.
