Iowa football is back on the field and starting off with an impressive performance in the first week.
"Excited for college football in Iowa right now and of course for @espn game day in Ames next weekend, but please don’t gloss over @UNIFootball and their fantastic performance yesterday," Chad Lang said in a Twitter post.

CBS Sports said that Iowa at Iowa state is a "great rivalry and a meaningful game" this season.
Both of the teams have New Year's Six bowl hopes, according to CBS Sports, if not for the College Football Playoff.
The hope comes from the Hawkeyes defense when it won against Indiana, according to CBS Sports.
