The strike continues at several John Deere plants in Iowa, and Gov. Kim Reynolds has made her decision — she will not intervene.

During one of her appearances in Pella, Reynolds declared her decisions after being asked about her plans, KOEL reported.

“Governor Kim Reynolds would rather stay silent than stand up to a corporation threatening to take American production overseas #Iowa #IAGov #CorporateKim,” Progress Iowa said a Nov. 9 Facebook post.

As of November 9, John Deere workers from Iowa, Illinois and Kansas have been striking the company for 4 weeks, Radio Iowa reported.

When asked about the strike, Gov. Reynolds expressed that she believes both sides will reach an agreement and settle and that she has no plans to intervene.

The Deere company has plans to move their production plants outside of the U.S, so they can fulfill customer demand as the worker strike goes on, KOEL reported. At the end of October, a deal was offered to strikers by Deere and Company, but the proposal was rejected by 55% to 45% vote.
