Fairfield High Spanish teacher Nohema Graber allegedly was not murdered through any racial motivation.

The murder of this Spanish teacher was not racially motivated, according to the investigators working on the Nohema Graber case. Mitch Mortvedt, an assistant director at the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, said that they “are confident as far as law enforcement that race had nothing to do with this homicide,” KCCI reported. Nov. 9.

“Please take a moment to read about the tragic death of this Spanish teacher in Iowa. SO very, very sad,” Toni Theisen said a Facebook post.

Graber, 66, was a Spanish teacher at Fairfield High School. Law enforcement stated that they cannot give details about what the motives for the killing was.

Two of Graber students were charged with her death. Both alleged attackers were 16 years old and their bond is set for $1 million each.

A memorial service for Graber has been planned and was scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.

The service is only the day before Graber’s birthday. She would have been 67 on Nov. 10.
