Authorities in Iowa last month arrested a California man after he divulged during a traffic stop his plans to assassinate government officials, including President Joe Biden and his chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Police pulled over 25-year-old Kuachua Brillion Xiongon on Dec. 21 for driving aggressively on the eastbound lane of Interstate 80, according to Sacramento, California's KCRA.
The NBC affiliate reported that Xiong made concerning comments about Biden to police and transported him to the Cass County Sheriff's Office for questioning.
During the interrogation, the suspect told investigators that he left his native Sacramento on Dec. 18 for Washington, D.C., to carry out the acts in question.
Authorities said Xiong expressed determination to keep heading for the national’s capital if he were released.
“When concluding the interview, (the man) stated that nothing would stop him from carrying out his plan of gaining access to the White House and killing the persons on his ‘hit list,’” the criminal compliant obtained by the Des Moines Register stated.
NBC Bay Area reported that police discovered an AR-15 rifle, ammunition, loaded magazines, body armor and medical kits on Xiong’s possession during the traffic stop.
