Gov. Kim Reynolds is slated to deliver her annual Condition of the State address from the Iowa State Capitol’s House Chambers on Jan. 11, beginning at 6 p.m.

Iowa PBS is scheduled to provide a livestream online of the event, which can also be watched on the governor’s Facebook page. Satellite coordinates will also be released closer to the address.  

Reynolds recently told the Des Moines Register she expects the upcoming legislation session to be highlighted by a push for more transparency for parents concerned about issues such as what books are being made available to students throughout the public school system.

Reynolds added she shares many of those concerns and anticipates there soon being a parent-driven effort to put forth legislation dealing with the issue.
