City Boards And Commission Openings

City of Red Oak recently issued the following announcement.

Nomination Form To Serve On Board Or Commission

City of Red Oak has the following volunteer positions on City appointed Boards or  Commissions available.  If you are interested in serving, please stop by Red Oak City Hall, 601 

N 6th Street and pick up an application or download one from the city's website of city.redoakiowa.com

Per Iowa's House File 243 the City attempts to make all boards and commissions gender balanced. All interested individuals are asked to have their completed application returned 

to Red Oak City Hall, 601 N 6th Street by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

***Low Rent Housing has three positions available and it will be 2-year terms ending January 2024

***Planning & Zoning Commission has three positions available. Two will be 5-year terms ending January 2027 and one is to fill a vacancy with term ending January 2023

***Board of Adjustment has two positions available and it will be 3-year terms with term ending January 2025.

***Historical Commission has two positions available and it will be 3-year terms with term ending January 2025.

***Park and Tree Board has one position available and it will be a 4-year term with term ending January 2026.  This position may reside inside or outside Red Oak city limits

***Airport Commission has one position available and it will be 6-year term ending January 2027. This position may reside inside or outside Red Oak city limits.

***Downtown Urban Renewal Board has one position available for an At-Large member with term ending December 31, 2025

Individuals must be a resident of the City of Red Oak unless otherwise noted.
