Pools Update 2022 Season

Updtae

We are still about a dozen lifeguards short of fully opening both pools. In an effort to provide opportunities for swimming at both locations, Pirate Cove and Katelman will be open on alternating weeks. Lifeguard recruitment efforts continue with the hopes of extending operation hours by July 1.

Both pools will be open for Memorial Day weekend with limited hours and a discounted admission price of $2 per person. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of Memorial Day weekend Pirate Cove will be open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Katelman Pool will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Beginning May 31, the pools will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on alternating weeks as follows:

  • May 31 -June 3 Katelman
  • June 4- June 10 Pirate Cove
  • June 11 - June 17 Katelman
  • June 18 - June 24 Pirate Cove
  • June 25 - July 1 Katelman
Pool parties are available at each location on specific dates as listed below. You can book pool parties at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Pirate Cove and Katelman Pool. You must book pool parties in-person at the pool where you wish to have the party. The cost for a pool party with up to 30 people is $225 at Katelman Pool and $250 at Pirate Cove Water Park.

Swim lessons will be available at Katelman Pool during its open weeks. You must sign up for swim lessons at Katelman Pool. Swim lessons are one week long and include five 30-minute sessions for a $30 fee.

Admission at each pool is $5, and $6 if adding the slides at Pirate Cove. Ten-swim punch cards are available for purchase. Season passes are not available for the 2022 season.
