Former Griswold Middle/High School standout Makenna Askeland played on Friday, May 16 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division III Softball Championship

On Friday, May 16, former Griswold Middle/High School standout Makenna Askeland’s current collegiate team the Simpson Storm lost 1-3 against the Saint Mary's Cardinals in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Saint Mary's Softball Field at 11 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Saint Mary's Cardinals in the tournament.

The Simpson Storm’s next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 4:05 p.m. at Saint Mary's Softball Field.
