City of Council Bluffs issued the following announcement on July 28.
FYI: Katelman Pool will close for the season on Friday, July 31. Pirate Cove will remain open in August.
Our pools are staffed with seasonal employees. As the season wraps up, many of the employees go back to their full-time jobs or back to school. When this happens, we consolidate all the lifeguards and pool staff to one pool for the remainder of the season. We hope to see you at Pirate Cove in August!
